We explore the cool varieties of instrumental music!

Tracks include:  Funky Fanfare (cover - from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Kill Bill, and Death Proof opening credits. Get your popcorn!), Spy on My Tail (original - can you name the song that inspired the guitar break in the middle?), I Only Want to Be with You (cover - used as the opening theme in the TV show Arliss), Minnie's Place (original - a nod to Booker T. Minnie owned the inn in the Hateful Eight), The Switch (original - dance tune for sure), California Dreamin' (cover - from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - Jose Feliciano ending), Harlem Nocturne (cover - noir, old school cool), The Sundown (cover - Il Tramonto, in Kill Bill and the Good, the Bad & the Ugly), For a Fistful of Reverb (original - an update to our first original tune - thanks Bobby Other for the trumpet parts), Wolf's Tooth (original - a fuzz Davie Allenish song. Yes that is the brand of dog food in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood).

Thank you Charlie Crespo of The Manhattan Beat
for naming us one of the Top 10 NYC bands to see live in 2024!

Our Last 7- Song EP!

This EP features 4 originals and 3 cover songs, including "Midnight Confessions" from "Jackie Brown".

The 2 rockin' surf originals are "You're Gonna Lose That Curl" and "(Please Don't) Dead End"- (that title comes from a scene at the end of Tarantino's "Death Proof"). Then there's the epic "Shaken Not Stirred", in 9/8 time no less, with a 4/4 swing interlude.

We do a version of Brian Wilson's "Pet Sounds" with a nice guitar solo over the end and our version of Link Wray's "The Shadow Knows" is more moody than comic book style. That's drummer Tony on the big laughs. Finally, we threw in a song we wrote for Michael Carr's mystery film "The Key". It has a lovely vocal by Elena Barakhovski. Michael Carr is also working on a present-day surf music documentary and parts of it are on YouTube. Thanks for listening!
